Sports Evangelism Provides Opportunity to Share the Gospel

October 31, 2009

One of the most effective ways that Joy to the World Ministries can reach out to the local villagers in the Dzuwa region is through sports evangelism. On October 31, 2009, JTW organized a friendly soccer game between the Chicago Football Club and the Lions of African Bible College in Dzuwa. Many people from the surrounding areas flocked to Dzuwa to watch the match. But people didn't just have an opportunity to watch a soccer game—they also listened to the Word as it was preached by a student from the African Bible College (ABC) in Lilongwe. Before he preached, another ABC student shared about how he had experienced God's love in his life since He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Please pray that JTW continues to have opportunities like this to communicate God's love and salvation to the people of Malawi.
