Rev. R.A. Matandika

Board Chairman, JTW Malawi

“On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the Gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts.” (1 Thessalonians 2:4)

Rev. Rodger Matandika has been the Minister-in-Charge of Katayauta, Malawi in the Church of Central Africa, Presbyterian (C.C.A.P.) since May 2005. He is responsible for 19 satellite churches. He was ordained a minister in the C.C.A.P. in 1976, soon after graduating from the Joint Theological College (now Josephat Mwale Theological College). Since his ordination, he has served in many rural and remote areas of Malawi, and his commitment and dedication to the work of the Lord grows with each passing year. In the years of 2005 to 2007, he served as the Actuary on the Executive Council of the Nkhoma C.C.A.P. Synod.

Reverend Matandika is married to Martha Matandika and has seven grown children and nine grandchildren. One of his sons is Fletcher Matandika, Founder and President of Joy the World Ministries. In fact, it was while he was visiting one of his father’s satellite churches that God impressed upon Fletcher the vision for Joy to the World Ministries.

Rev. Matandika’s passion is to invest in young people because he believes in equipping the younger generation while they are still young. Youth ministry is one of the priorities of his church.
