Patrick January
Maize Mill Operator
"I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." (Psalm 18:1-2)
Patrick January was born at Kayembe village in Dowa District. When his parents divorced, he moved with his mother to Dzuwa,
his mother's hometown, where he proceeded with school at Dzuwa Primary School. After successfully finishing primary school he was selected to Chimbalu Community Day Secondary School, where he got his Junior Certificate of Education. He did not proceed with senior high because his mother could not afford the school fees.
When JTW came to Dzuwa, Patrick's hopes were high. He applied for the job of a miller at the JTW maize mills and was picked for the job in October of 2007. He is so grateful that God heard his prayers and would like to go back to school after earning enough savings.
Besides operating the maize mills, which includes sharing the Gospel with those that come to the maize mills, he is also on the Executive Committee of Katayauta C.C.A.P. Youth Guild. Mr. January is always encouraged by all the words of Scripture.
