McLuwen Kachipanda
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)
McLuwen was born in a Christian family. His father, Rev. D.F. Kachipanda and his brother, Rev. J.D. Kachipanda, are Ministers in the Nkhoma Synod of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP).
He graduated from the University of Malawi in 2001 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy and went on to become a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). Earlier, he had also attained a certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Married to Fyness, with one child Chikondi, McLuwen now works for Unilever Malawi as a Management Accountant.
Since McLuwen came to Christ in 1993, he has been serving the Lord in several ministries. One of the ministries, the Student Christian Organisation of Malawi (SCOM), works to evangelize and disciple students in secondary schools. McLuwen's desire has always been to fully commit himself to the work of the Lord and to help many people coming to Christ and become disciples of Jesus Christ. McLuwen likes singing and worshiping the Lord. When he has some free time, he plays the piano and guitar.
McLuwen is a member, deacon, pianist, and Vice-Chairperson of the Music Committee of St. Columba CCAP church in Blantyre, Malawi. He is also a member of the St. Columba Praise Team.
