Kevin Epp Secretary, Joy to the World Ministries - Canada
"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31)
Kevin was born in Nigeria, Africa where his parents were missionaries with SIM (www.sim.org). In 1977 he moved back to Alberta, Canada with his parents and sister where he completed his primary school education and subsequently earned a diploma in Computer Technology. In 1989 he married his wife, Jeanette, also a missionary kid whose parents worked among the First Nations people of Canada. Kevin and his wife along with their two children, Alex and Danielle, moved to Portland, Oregon in 1997 where Kevin worked as a computer consultant and obtained an undergraduate degree in business management. Kevin is now Senior Technical Consultant for Asset Management Services.
Kevin and his family attend Evergreen Presbyterian Church in Beaverton, Oregon where he is the chairman of the missions committee. Being a missionary kid Kevin is excited about missions and about the opportunities micro-finance offers to minister to the needs of people and, in doing so, share the Gospel. He first heard about Joy to the World Ministries when Fletcher stayed with his family in 2008 while speaking at a missions conference at Evergreen. During that time Fletcher also shared with Fresh Start Microloans, a micro finance ministry started by members of Evergreen, about the work of JTW. The excitement and joy that radiates from Fletcher has made an impact on Kevin. He is waiting on God and looking forward to participating with JTW in its vision for missions. He is honored to serve as a member of the Canadian board.
