 This is the Malawian Health Surveillance Assistant (HSA), who made periodic visits to Dzuwa to provide medical care for pregnant women and children under five years of age. The women and children met him under a tree outside. He was supposed to come monthly, but often couldn't make it that often. Before the new clinic, the people of Dzuwa had little other access to healthcare.
