Harold Juma
Harold came to Christ in 2000 when he was in Form One (the equivalent of the ninth grade in the US) through Students' Christian Organization of Malawi (SCOM). From that time on, he has strongly felt God saved him for the purpose of serving Him. In 2003, he felt a calling to be a pastor for the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP). After joining ABC, his passion for ministry continued to strengthen. In 2007, Harold applied for Theological Studies and Recognition in Nkhoma CCAP, primarily at Josophat Mwale Theological College (JMT). Although he was not as successful in the interviews as he had thought, Harold's vision to become a pastor in CCAP has not faded, and he believes that one day it will happen. During my four years at ABC, Harold have worked with many different ministries. He was involved in prison ministry for three years, worked with Ministry of Hope as a volunteer for four years, did sports evangelism with youth through Joy to the World Ministries, worked as a primary school teacher, and helped with the church on an internship basis. Harold describes his calling in this way: "I feel called by the Lord to serve Him as an instrument of righteousness to the lost world. I believe God is calling me into the field of harvest for the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. I am looking forward to serving Him in all capacities, and if possible, to serving Him in the Church as a pastor one day." |
Harold was born on July 4, 1984. He was the fifth born (and fourth son) in a Christian family of four boys and two girls. After sitting for PSLC examinations in 1999 at Chankhanga LEA in Kasungu, Harold attended Chankhanga CDSS. He did forms 1 and 2 at Chankhanga and then moved to El-shaddai PVT secondary school, where he first sat for MSCE in 2003. He sat again for MSCE in 2004 and performed much better. In 2005, Harold applied for studies at the African Bible College (ABC), where he was admitted, in his opinion, "by the grace of God."
